In their home season opener on Saturday September 19th, Morehead State University shut out NAIA Kentucky Christian University 28 – 0.
Only allowing Kentucky Christian 208 total yards or offense and having a huge passing night with 11 receivers for completions, Morehead ran away with the game for the first shut out at Jayne Stadium in quite a few seasons.
