PIKEVILLE, Ky. — University of Pikeville senior offensive lineman Brandon Ball was named a 2015 USA College Football Preseason NAIA All-American, officials from the national media outlet announced on Monday.
Ball, an East Burnstadt, Ky., native with 20 career starts up front for the Bears is one of 20 offensive lineman on the first-team list.
In 2014, Ball helped anchor an offensive line that led to the 26th best rushing offensive in the nation at 187.5 yards per game and a total scoring offense that ranked 19th in the nation after scoring 358 points.
UPIKE enters the 2015 season picked to finish second in the MSC East Division according to a preseason poll of the league’s coaches. The Bears open up at home, hosting Bluefield (Va.) at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, Aug. 27 at the Hambley Athletic complex.
