On Saturday, the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg hosted the Cheer Elite Competition. This competition had a lot of implications for teams competing with a chance to qualify for state either by winning their division or winning the Ultimate Championship Award.
While the Grand Championship Trophies were given to the winners of each division, the Ultimate Champion was calculated between all 14 teams competing and given to the team with the highest overall score.
