Former Shelby Valley star Elisha Justice and his young June Buchanan basketball team put an end to Pike Central’s seven game winning streak by defeating the Hawks 56-53 Thursday night.
Pike Central was led in scoring by Teddy Smith with 11 points. Brad Elkins added 10 points and Ethan Blackburn finished with 9 points. Ryan Eads and Braxton Tibbs both finished with 8 points, and Andrew Fields added six and Mac Justice finished with 1 point.
June Buchanan was led by Idris Akinyemi with 13 points, Hunter Hammond added 12, Princewill Anosike finished with 11 and Luka Stojicevic had 10 points.
