Team Records, Game Notables and Series Information

· WKU opens the season 1-0 while Austin Peay goes to 0-1

· WKU has now won seven-straight over Austin Peay, taking a 39-14 advantage in the series

· With the win, WKU has won 1,700 games as a program, a figure only 16 other programs in NCAA history have reached

· WKU has now won 10 of its last 11 home openers and is 78-18 all-time in the first home game of the season

· The Hilltoppers season-opening win was their first since defeating Saint Joseph’s 98-70 to start the 2010-11 campaign

· WKU has won 13 of the last 14 non-conference home games, dating back to November 2012

· WKU heads to Minnesota Tuesday night at 7:00 (CT) to open the campus site portion of the 2014 NIT Season Tip-Off. The game will be televised on ESPN3.

· The Hilltoppers return home Saturday, Nov. 22 to host Belmont. The Bruins are one of just six teams in the nation to win 26 or more games in each of the last four seasons, joining Duke, Florida, Syracuse, Wichita State and VCU.

Team Notes

· WKU held Austin Peay to 0-of-6 from field goal range over a time span of 5:49 to build a nine-point lead of 25-16 in the first half

· The Hilltoppers used a 13-2 run over 3:34 to gain their largest lead of the game at 38-28 with 2:19 remaining in the first half

· KEY RUN: After the Govs tied the score at 47-47 with 14:36 remaining, WKU used a 13-4 run to take a 60-51 lead. Austin Peay came within one possession of the Hilltoppers once in the final 14:36

· WKU opened the game 5-of-6 from beyond the arc, finishing the first half 7-of-12 from three-point range. Overall the Hilltoppers were 9-of-21 were three-point range

· WKU improved its home record under head coach Ray Harper to 29-9

· WKU used the starting lineup of Chris Harrison-Docks, Trency Jackson, George Fant, T.J. Price and Aleksej Rostov

· The Hilltoppers have hit a three pointer in 841-consecutive games dating back to March 13, 1987

Individual Notes

· T.J. Price finished the contest with a game-high 22 points, hitting 6-of-11 field goals

o Price reached the 10-point plateau for the 62nd time in his career and eclipsed the 20-point mark for the 19th time in his career

o Price went 4-for-4 in three-point shots, the first time since Dec. 29, 2012, vs. North Texas where he was also 4-for-4

o Price moved to 23 in WKU’s all-time scoring list, as he has 1,258 career points

o Price took sole possession of fourth-place in WKU history with 209 career three-pointers

· Four newcomers made their official Hilltopper debut, as Justin Johnson, Avery Patterson, DJ Clayton and Rob Marberry each saw time on the floor

o Johnson tied Fant as the team’s leading rebounder, as each grabbed five boards

o Marberry led the freshmen with seven points, hitting both of his field goal attempts to go with three free throws made in 18 minutes off the bench

· Trency Jackson had 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting for his 11th career double-digit scoring effort

· Chris Harrison-Docks scored 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting, including two three-pointers

o Harrison-Docks has made multiple three-pointers in 16 of 25 career games

o Harrison-Docks has hit double figures in scoring 13 times in his career
