LEXINGTON, Ky. — For the second consecutive week, Kentucky senior defensive end/linebacker Alvin “Bud” Dupree was honored as a Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week and junior Landon Foster has been named one of 80 candidates for the Ray Guy Award, given to the nation’s top punter, it was announced.
Dupree, a 6-foot-4, 264-pound product of Irwinton, Ga., had another career game on Saturday at Missouri, equaling career highs in sacks (1.5) and tackles for loss (2.5). On the year, Dupree has 50 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 8.5 tackles for loss and a game-winning interception return for a touchdown vs. South Carolina.
In his career, Dupree ranks second in UK history with 21.5 sacks, leading all active Southeastern Conference players. Dupree has played in 44 games and started 36 in his career, with 223 tackles, including 33 tackles for loss. A quarterfinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, Dupree is a member of the Chuck Bednarik and Bronko Nagurski Trophy preseason watch lists, given annually to the top defensive player in college football.

A native of Franklin, Tenn., Foster has been listed by the Augusta Sports Council as one of 80 candidates for the 2014 Ray Guy Award, given to the nation’s top punter. Foster, a 2012 Freshman All-SEC selection, has punted 47 times in 2014, with a 42.7 yard average, dropping a career-high 22 inside the 20-yard line. In his three-year career, Foster has punted 176 times, with a 42.2-yard average – third-best in UK history – dropping 50 punts inside the 20-yard line.
Kentucky (5-4, 2-4 SEC) will return to action on Saturday in its final home game of the year, playing host to No. 17 Georgia at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN.
