RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team will look to make it five wins in a row when the Colonels host Southern Utah on Saturday at McBrayer Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

– Saturday is the final game of a five-game homestand for the Colonels. EKU will play its next four and six of its next seven games on the road.
– McBrayer Arena has been good to Eastern in the early going. The Colonels are 5-0 and averaging 100 points-per-game so far this season at home.
– EKU crossed the century mark for the third time in six games on Wednesday, defeating Thomas More College, 101-67.
– Freshman Nick Mayo scored a career-high 21 points on Wednesday, all in the first half.
– Senior Jarelle Reischel just missed the first triple-double in EKU history against Thomas More, recording 16 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and five steals.
– Freshman guard Dujuanta Weaver came off the bench to notch a career-high nine assists on Wednesday.
– Southern Utah fell to 0-4 after an 80-66 home loss to Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday.
– The Thunderbirds are led by Travon Langston (13.8 points-per-game) and James McGee (10.5 points-per-game).
– This is the second all-time meeting between EKU and Big Sky Conference member Southern Utah. The Colonels and Thunderbirds clashed last November in Cedar City, Utah. Eastern won, 73-64, behind 33 points from Corey Walden.
