Landon Young moved up from 91st in Rivals.com preseason rankings to 54th in their recent rankings released Monday.
This makes him UK’s first Rivals 100 signee since 2006 with Linebacker Micah Johnson from Fort Campbell.
Rivals had this to say about the UK commit:
“The Kentucky commit continues to develop nicely and looks more and more like he could be a future bookend tackle. Players with his size and frame are rare and as he continues to get stronger he projects well not only to college, but beyond.”
Young helped lead the Generals to the Class 6A state title game last weekend. He had scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State and several other top programs.
