Mayo has won three consecutive OVC Freshman of the Week awards, all while averaging 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist through the first 12 games of his collegiate career.

Mayo has been a vital key to the Colonels success this season and has gathered ample amounts of praise from first-year head coach Dan McHale. If the freshman sensation is able to keep this level of play up he will be a lock for OVC Freshman of the Year.
