Kentucky’s sophomore guard Tyler Ulis has been named co-SEC player of the week. Ulis played brilliantly in games against rival Duke and Wright State. He averaged 19.5 points, 5.5 assists, and 2 steals.
Tyler Ulis has managed to put together a solid campaign for the Wildcats so far this year, leading the team to a 4-0 record. Ulis has been thrust into a bigger, more important role than the one he played on the historic 2014-2015 Kentucky team. While he played well last year, John Calipari has deemed Ulis a leader of the team this year, and he has found a permanent spot in the starting lineup.
If the 5’9″ point guard keeps this level of play up, this won’t be his last player of the week award.
