The Murray State women’s golf team finished with a fifth place showing at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate in in Clarksville, Tenn.
The Racers fired a 322 in round one and a 325 in Tuesday’s final round for a 647 total.
Jane Watts was in the 36-hole event as an individual and was the top finisher among all Murray State players with scores of 76-80=156 and a spot in 12th place.
Team finishers for the Racers included Moa Folke in 17th place with scores of 83-77=160 and Sydney Trimble in 20th place with scores of 79-82=161. Anna Moore finished 26th after rounds of 77-87=164, while Abbi Stamper finished with scores of 85-80=165 and a spot in 29th. Sophie Hillier placed 35th after scores of 83-86=169.
Host Austin Peay was the winner at 619, while Lipscomb placed second at 625. Tennessee Tech had a score of 626 and Belmont 631 to place third and fourth.
A field of 49 players toured the par-72 layout at Clarksville Country Club at 5,973 yards.
The Racers visit Old Fort Golf Club (Oct. 19-20) to play in the Middle Tennessee Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
