BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University’s men’s golf team placed eighth at the Kenny Perry Invitational hosted by Western Kentucky University.
Arkansas State (892) captured the team title by three shots over Memphis (895). Tennessee Tech (898) was third and WKU (901) placed fourth.
EKU had a three-round total of 912, just one shot behind seventh place Samford and four shots ahead of ninth place Florida Atlantic.
The 12-team event was contested at The Club at Olde Stone, a par-72, 7,319-yard course.
Sophomore Will Sallee led the Colonels and tied for 18th overall. He opened play on Monday with a first round 2-under 70 before following with rounds of 77 and 79 for a total of 226 (+10).
Noah Combs (228) tied for 21st and Erik Lindwall (229) tied for 25th. Jared Brown (233) finished in a tie for 37th while Travis Rose (240) tied for 55th in the field of 67 players.
Eastern Kentucky will conclude the fall portion of its 2015-16 schedule on Oct. 26-27 at the Homewood/Hilton Garden Airport & FGCU Classic hosted by Florida Gulf Coast.
