Former Boyle County High School and Xavier University star pitcher, Jacob Bodner, was recently named Pitcher of the Year for the Burlington Royals of the Appalachian League. Bodner finished the season with a 2-0 record, 5 saves and a 0.77 ERA in 16 appearances. In 23 and 1/3 innings he struck out 26 batters and only walked 3. Bodner was drafted in Round 27 by the Kansas City Royals. He is currently assigned to Idaho Falls of the Pioneer League.
