Senior receiver Chatlin Jarrell set the tone early for the Panthers to start the 2015 season. Jarrell took the opening kickoff of the game 99 yards to give Pikeville a 6-0 lead over the home standing Prestonsburg Blackcats, and the Panthers never looked back. Pikeville beat Prestonsburg 43-6.
Daric Pugh led the way for Panthers scoring four touchdowns, including an 87 yarder late in the third quarter. Cody Charles also added a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Pikeville’s defense held Prestonsburg in check until the fourth quarter. Prestonsburg’s Dalton Frasure scored the Blackcats only touchdown with 10:32 left in the game.
