Look who’s back in the saddle! Returning for a 2nd stint as head coach of the East Ridge Warriors, Brad Allen. Allen was HC from 2008 thru 2013, but resigned from his position before the 2014 season. Allen would take an assistant coaching job with the Belfry Pirates in 2014 resulting in a Class 3A state championship ring. Allen has an overall record with East Ridge with 16 wins & 45 losses.
East Ridge loses 13 seniors from their 2014 team, among those QB #18 Christian Hagy, WR #82 Jacob Chaney & LB Dalton Smith.
Key returners include Senior RB #1 Trey Little, QB #3 Brodey Johnson & LB #40 Leighton Miller.
Also returning to East Ridge….is district play. East Ridge dropped out of Class 3A District 8 in 2013 and spent 2 seasons not playing a district schedule, thus have not been eligible for post-season play.
East Ridge has dropped to Class 2A, and joins District 8 along with other local area teams such as Shelby Valley, Betsy Layne, Prestonsburg, Allen Central & Leslie County.
East Ridge opens their 2015 campaign by traveling to Knott County Central to battle the Patriots Friday, August 21st 2015
