Greensburg, KY.– The 5th region started early Saturday morning as Caverna was upset by Elizabethtown 76-63 in the 10 am matchup. In the second game Bardstown beat Adair 59-38 to advance to play Elizabethtown in the top semifinal matchup.
In the bottom of the bracket Taylor County won big 75-50 over Bethlem and North Hardin took care of Green County 85-69 to set up a North Hardin Taylor County semifinal matchup.
Semifinals will be held at Green County March 9th. Elizabethtown and Bardstown face off at 6:00pm and Taylor and North Hardin at 8:45pm or following the first semifinal.
There is no shortage of talent in this region with Bardstown’s Elijah Cowherd, Taylor Co’s Quentin Goodin and David Sloan, and both Elizabethtown and North Hardin’s high flying athletes.
The championship game will be played on March 10th at 7:30 and assures to be an exciting And intense matchup and a celebratory win to make it to the Sweet 16.
