LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fans looking to go behind the scenes as UK football welcomes a new class on Signing Day once again have their home.
Signing Day coverage on UKathletics.com will begin at 8 a.m. ET on Feb. 4 and continue late into the morning or early afternoon. For the second consecutive year, Kentucky Wildcats TV will produce a webcast live from the Nutter Training Facility that will break news of the latest signees as Mark Stoops’ third recruiting class becomes official. The webcast will be broadcast live on UKathletics.com and SEC Network +.
The live stream will feature exclusive access to Stoops and his coaching staff. Assistant coaches will join Jeff Piecoro in a special “Xs and Os Room” to break down film of the signees and show why the newest Wildcats project as the future stars of UK football.
Joining Piecoro on the coverage will be Tom Leach, former UK quarterback Freddie Maggard, Dick Gabriel and Kentucky Sports Radio’s Matt Jones. UK’s four early high-school enrollees and two Nebraska transfers Courtney Love and Greg Hart will be spotlighted in special features to introduce them to fans.
Fans won’t have to settle for only watching though. They’ll be able to join the conversation and ask questions on Twitter by using the hashtag #UK2015Class and the best tweets will appear on the live stream. Additionally, Cat Scratches will host its annual live blog, where fans can interact in real-time with assistant coaches, early enrollees and other special guests.
Fans unable to follow online can listen to the Leach Report from 9-10 a.m. and Kentucky Sports Radio from 10 a.m.-noon. Both shows will be broadcasting live from the Nutter Training Facility.
Set your alarms and be ready for some UK football excitement at 8 a.m. next Wednesday.
