The Pike County Central Hawks won their 7th straight game by defeating Lawrence County 84-71 in a 15th region showdown Tuesday night.
With the game tied at 52 at the end of the third quarter, the Hawks outscored the Bulldogs 32-19 in the fourth quarter to pick up their 7th straight win.
Pike Central was led in scoring by junior forward Teddy Smith with 20 points. Brad Elkins and Braxton Tibbs each added 16 points while Hunter Clark poured in 12 points for the home standing Hawks.
Junior guard Austin Chaffin led Lawrence County with 19 points followed by Timmy Dalton with 17. Roger Dalton added 16 points and Brandon Richardson had 10 points.
Pike Central moves to 14-9 on the season and Lawrence County falls to 10-9.
