PIKEVILLE, Ky. — It’s back to non-conference play for the second-ranked University of Pikeville men’s basketball team as it hosts Ohio Mid-Western at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday in the East Ky. Expo Center.
The Bears are looking for their 43rd straight non-conference win at home, while overall they have won 30 straight games on their home court, dating back to January of 2013.
While not a lot is known about Ohio Mid-Western with season stats and overall record not being available, it is known that they feature nine freshmen and don’t list a player over 6-5 on the roster. UPIKE could be a tall task as it is leading the NAIA at 101 points per game and leading scorer K.K. Simmons is the 10th best scorer in the nation at 21 ppg.
