Ten notes heading into the contest:

HOW MANY MILES NOW?
Once Morehead State gets back to campus, it will have traveled 2,170 miles via bus and 8,015 miles via plane this season. The 10,815 total miles cover seven different states. Seven of MSU’s first 13 games are on the road, while two others were on a neutral floor.

THE DEFENSE HAS IMPROVED
Through 12 games this season, Morehead State’s opponents are averaging just 64.7 points on 42.2 percent from the field. At this point last year, MSU’s foes were averaging 72.2 points on 45.6 percent from the floor. The Eagles also have 14 more blocked shots.

REBOUNDING IS WHAT WE DO
Morehead State has led the Ohio Valley Conference in rebounding margin six straight seasons (2008-14), paced the league in rebounds five of the last six years and had the conference’s top individual four of the past six seasons. MSU is currently third in the OVC with 36.8 boards per game and a +4.2 rebounding margin.

GET TO KNOW THIS NAME
Sophomore Corban Collins knocked down 8-of-11 from the field and 6-of-7 from three-point range on Saturday at No. 12/12 Ohio State en route to a game-high 22 points. The guard had previously tallied just 58 points in seven contests (8.3 pg).

CALL HIM MR. CONSISTENCY
Senior Angelo Warner has tallied 1,301 points (11.9 pg) and 3,036 minutes (27.9 pg) in 109 collegiate games. The guard has reached 10 points 69 times and 20 points on 15 occasions. He needs just 30 more points to move into 17th in school history.

EARNING HIS MINUTES
Junior Lyonell Gaines has averaged 12.5 points and 7.3 rebounds over his last six games after posting just 0.6 points and 1.4 rebounds through his first five contests. The Louisville native and IUPUI transfer is averaging 7.1 points and 4.6 boards this season.

THE FLOOR GENERAL
Senior Kareem Storey ranks third in the Ohio Valley Conference with 5.2 assists per game and 2.1 assists-per-turnover. The guard has reached the five-assist plateau in 20 of 41 games at Morehead State. He is averaging 7.8 points this season on 91 percent (21-of-23) from the free-throw stripe.

YOU DON’T SEE THIS EVERY DAY
Morehead State was credited with a rare team basket at the 4:39 mark of Saturday’s first half. One of Ohio State’s players accidentally tipped the ball into the wrong bucket when he was jumping for a rebound. After initial confusion, the play was scored correctly by OSU’s crew.

20 WINS = ELITE COMPANY
Morehead State, which finished 20-14 overall in 2013-14, has reached the 20-win plateau four times in the past six seasons. The Eagles had previously secured 20 victories just twice in 79 campaigns. MSU improved by five wins from 2012-13 to last year.

PLAYING ON TV
Morehead State will play on television at least eight times in 2014-15. MSU’s remaining TV games are Green Bay on the American Sports Network (Dec. 17), Eastern Kentucky on ESPNU (Feb. 11) and Tennessee Tech on CBS Sports Network (Feb. 26). For more, visit MSUEagles.com.
