Team Records, Game Notables and Series Information

· WKU fell to 1-2 on the season while Belmont improved to 3-1

· WKU heads to New York for two games in the 2014 NIT Season Tip-Off next week, beginning Tuesday night at 6:00 (CT) at Stony Brook. From there, WKU heads to Madison Square Garden for a Thanksgiving Night matchup against Saint Joseph’s at 5:00 (CT) on ESPNU. WKU’s next home game comes on Wednesday, Dec. 3 against Bowling Green State at 7:00 PM (CT) on American Sports Network.

Team Notes

· WKU used the starting lineup of Trency Jackson, T.J. Price, Chris Harrison-Docks, George Fant and Ben Lawson for the first time this season

· KEY FIRST HALF RUN: After Belmont took its first lead at 18-16 with 9:57 left in the half, WKU used a 16-3 spurt to regain momentum and a 32-21 lead – which equaled its largest lead of the half.

· KEY SECOND HALF RUN: After WKU opened up a 56-42 lead with 6:25 left in the game, Belmont used a 19-4 run to take a 61-60 lead with 43 seconds remaining. WKU regained the lead at 63-61 after a bucket and free throw from T.J. Price with 22 seconds left, but Belmont answered with a three to jump back in front 64-63 with 12 seconds left. Price’s would-be game-winner rattled out at the buzzer.

· The Hilltoppers opened the game on a 10-2 run and hit six of their first eight shots from the field

· WKU limited Belmont to a season-low 64 points after the Bruins entered the contest averaging 84.3 points per game. The 64 points was Belmont’s lowest output in its last 19 games dating back to Jan. 20, 2014

· WKU outscored Belmont 32-24 inside the paint, which marked its biggest differential this season

· The Hilltoppers have now won the rebounding battle in all three games this season after holding a 40-32 advantage over the Bruins. WKU is +11 in rebounding margin this season

· WKU has hit a three-pointer in 843 consecutive games dating back to March 15, 1987

Individual Notes

· Senior guard T.J. Price had 15 points, nine rebounds and dished out six assists while playing all 40 minutes

o With two three-pointers on the night, Price passed former WKU star A.J. Slaughter for third place on the all-time three-pointers made chart with 212 career triples

o Price also moved to 22nd in WKU history in scoring as his 15 points upped his career total to 1,276

o Price has hit double figures in 64 of his 96 career games (66%)

· Redshirt sophomore guard Chris Harrison-Docks scored a career-high 21 points on a career-best eight field goals

o Harrison-Docks tied a career high with four three-pointers made and finished 4-of-7 from behind the arc

o Harrison-Docks has made multiple three-pointers in 17 of 27 career games

o Harrison-Docks has now hit double figures in scoring 14 times in his career

· Senior forward George Fant turned in a gritty performance in the post with six points and nine rebounds

· Sophomore forward Ben Lawson earned his first start of the season and sparked WKU with six early points on 3-of-3 shooting while adding three assists and three blocks in a career high 28 minutes played.
