MOREHEAD, Ky. — Morehead State football student-athletes Brandon Bornhauser and Luke Keller have earned recognition from the College Football Performance Awards.
Bornhauser, a junior slot receiver/kick return specialist, was named Co-Kickoff Returner of the Week. Keller, a junior linebacker, was listed as an Honorable Mention Performer of the Week at his position.
Bornhauser returned an onside kick attempt 45 yards for a touchdown against Pikeville (Ky.) Saturday night. Morehead State led 42-10 in the second half before the Bears rallied to within 42-29 in the final five minutes. Bornhauser’s first career kick return for a score put the contest out of reach.
Keller led the team with 11 total tackles, had two tackles for loss, two fumbles forced, a sack and a pass break-up in the 49-36 win.
Morehead State travels to No. 25 Eastern Kentucky Saturday for a 6 p.m. ET kickoff.
