Kentucky Sophomore Center Graded 91 Percent in UK’s 59-14 Win
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky sophomore center Jon Toth has been selected as the Southeastern Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week, it was announced by the SEC office Monday night, live on SEC Now on the SEC Network.
A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Toth was selected by the league office as the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week for the first time in his career. Toth, a 6-foot-5, 301 pounder, graded at 91 percent in UK’s season-lidlifting win over UT Martin. He played without any penalties or missed assignments and did not surrender a sack, totaling three knockdown blocks.
Toth helped direct a potent UK offensive attack that generated 656 total yards vs. UT Martin, the fourth-highest total in UK single-game history. A member of the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2013, Toth helped the Wildcats rush for 234 yards and throw for 422 yards in the first career start for sophomore quarterback Patrick Towles.
Kentucky (1-0) will return to action on Saturday, hosting Ohio at 3:30 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium.
