Original Story
PIKEVILLE, Ky. – After a successful 2013-14 season in which the University of Pikeville tallied the second most Mid-South Conference Championships in the league, the sports information office is rolling out a top-10 list of the season’s accomplishments.
Voters, which included UPIKE administration, students and media members, were given a list of top moments to rank one through 10. Ten points were awarded for being No. 1, nine points for No. 2 and so on.
The plan is to release two of the top 10 per week, on Wednesday and Friday afternoons until the top moment is revealed. These will also be posted on Twitter @UPIKEAthletics with the hashtag #UPIKETop10.
First up at No. 10 is UPIKE’s Bruce Reed being named the MSC Player of the Year and head coach Kelly Wells earning the league’s coach of the year honor.
It was the second straight season that the MSC’s top player came from the Bears, while Wells earned his first coach of the year honor and the program’s first since 2004.
